The Lady Tigers came out firing on all cylinders and ultimately came out on top in two sets, beating the Lady Cardinals by the final scores of 25-10 and 25-15.

"We came out with a lot of intensity and focus," Lady Tigers head coach Ashley Thoreson said. "We were ready to play and were very aggressive in all aspects of our game. I am very pleased with the way the girls took control of the game and never let down."

Sharla Quick led the Lady Tigers with five kills, while Rilie Good recorded three solo blocks and one assist. Morgan McNeley had a team-high 11 assists and Brooke Munsterman recorded 12 digs.

The JV squad had similar luck on the night, defeating Webb City, 25-18 and 25-14, while the Lady Tiger freshmen lost by the final scores of 25-23 and 25-18.

Both the Lady Tigers varsity and freshman squads are set to get back into action in tournament play today. The freshmen are to play at Webb City, while the varsity plays at Pittsburg, Kan.

"We are looking forward to our first tournament of the season and will hopefully bring the same kind of intensity we had tonight." Thoreson said Tuesday.
