JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Cottey College Comets volleyball team and head coach Marla Kannady Foreman got a measure of revenge for their first home loss of the season when they traveled to Ozark Christian College Monday night.
In the first meeting between the two squads, the Comets looked tentative in nearly everything they did throughout the match and ultimately it cost them, as OCC recovered quickly from an opening set loss to take the match, three sets to one. That wasn't the case on Monday, however, as the Comets won the first set and kept the pressure on, winning the next two as well to close out the match. The final scores were 25-14, 25-23 and 25-19.
The Comets are scheduled to be back in action tonight as they return home to take on Fort Scott Community College at 6:30 p.m.
