Lady Tigers tennis defeats Neosho

The Nevada High School girls' tennis team made its return to the courts at Nevada High School Monday night with a strong performance against Neosho.

Regan Kimbrough, Jessica DeCocq, Kierstin Lanham, Lauren Baker and Lizze Smith all picked up singles victories on the night and the Lady Tigers went on to take the match by a final score of 8-1. The only loss on the night for the Lady Tigers came in the No. 6 singles match when Audrey Eastin defeated Megan Payne, but Sydney Benjelloun made things interesting in the No. 5 match, as she fell to Smith, 8-8 (7-3).

The Lady Tigers are scheduled to head back out on the road to take on Fort Scott today at 4 p.m., in the final dual of the season.
