Girls' tennis rained out

Thursday, September 27, 2012

Nevada Daily Mail

FORT SCOTT -- The Nevada Lady Tigers tennis match against the Lady Tigers of Fort Scott that was scheduled for Tuesday night was rained out.

Regan Kimbrough won the only singles match that was played on the night by a final score of 8-5 and Fort Scott took all three doubles matches, but since no other singles matches were started, the match will not count on Nevada's overall season record. Nevada Lady Tigers head coach Samantha Short said no plans are currently in the works to attempt to make up the match due to a lack of time between now and the start of district play, which is set to begin on Oct. 1.

Nevada's tennis team is scheduled to conclude the regular season on Friday, at the Thomas Jefferson Invitational tournament.
