Mother Nature finally gave way and allowed the Nevada Lady Tigers golf team to complete the annual Lady Tiger Invitational golf tournament at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course Wednesday.
Nevada finished sixth out of the eight teams in competition for the team title with a combined score of 421. Mount Vernon won the team title with a combined score of 349.
Hannah Householder posted the best score of the day for the Lady Tigers as she finished in a tie for 16th at 98, 23 strokes behind overall winner, Megan Keck, of Cole Camp. Danielle Smith took 20th with an overall score of 101, followed by Michael Jones at 108, Jenny Mosbrucker at 114 and Maddie Johnson at 117 to round out the order for Nevada.
That next action on the schedule for the Lady Tigers is the district tournament, which is scheduled to be played at Marshfield on Oct. 2.
