Tanya and Tim Hessong

Tanya Hadley and Tim Hessong exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 1, 2012, at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, in Mission, Kan. Vows were solemnized by the Rev. Bill Breedlove.

The bride is the daughter of Cecil and Phyllis Combs, Fort Scott, and granddaughter of Cecil Combs, Marjorie Logan, and John Fowler, Fort Scott, and Kenneth and Juanita Harper, Quinlan, Okla.

The groom is the son of Randy and Linda Hessong, Fort Scott, and grandson of Vere and Ruth Hessong, and Wayne and Dorothy Leek, Fort Scott.

For her wedding, the bride wore a simple Dalia MacPhee strapless chiffon dress and carried a bouquet of red roses. The attendants of honor wore elegant black dresses of their choice and carried bouquets of white roses.

Attendants of honor were Tammy Stanley, sister of the bride; Kelsey and Karlee Stanley, nieces of the bride; and Carey Parks and Megan Sailors, friends of the couple. Flower girls were Sydney and Reese Hessong, nieces of the groom. Guest book attendant was Nicole Paden, niece of the groom.

Attendants of honor were Pat Wood, friend of the couple; Ted and Tod Hessong, brothers of the groom; Jeff Arnold and Paul Schnichels, friends of the couple. Ushers were Brad Stanley, brother-in-law of the bride, and Brad Nelson, friend of the couple.

A reception followed at Mission Theatre, Kan.

The couple honeymooned at River of Life Farms, Dora, Mo., and currently reside in Mission, Kan., with their four beloved dogs -- Lloyd, Bentley, Allie and Lucy -- and are currently building a "weekend" cabin in Fort Scott.

Tanya graduated from Fort Scott High School and Pittsburg State University, earning her bachelor's degree in social work. She earned her master's in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University. She is currently a therapist at Responsive Centers, Overland Park, and manages Crisis Services at Johnson County Mental Health Center, throughout Johnson County, Kan.

Tim graduated from Fort Scott High School and the Pittsburg State University electrical program and is employed as a electrician at Johnson County Wastewater, Overland Park.
