ANDERSON, Mo. -- The Nevada Lady Tigers volleyball team headed back out on the road once again Thursday night to take on the Lady Mustangs of McDonald County High School.

The Lady Mustangs gave head coach Ashley Thoreson's Lady Tigers all they wanted in a very close match, but Nevada ultimately came out on top by the final scores of 26-24 and 25-17. Regan Kannady led the Lady Tigers with eight kills, while Morgan McNeley recorded 20 assists and Sharla Quick had 13 digs.

"We were a completely different team tonight, compared to the one who showed up Tuesday against Girard," Thoreson said. "We were much more intense and focused to play tonight. We played very well as a team and each player did a great job of filling their role and taking care of the ball. It's always great to see the team finally playing so well together and with it being towards the end of season, that makes it even better."

The Lady Tigers' junior varsity squad defeated McDonald County as well, taking the match decisively in two sets, 25-14 and 25-16. Things didn't go nearly as well for the freshman squad, as they fell to the Lady Mustangs by the final scores of 25-15 and 25-23.

With that win, the Lady Tigers' record improved to 14-6-2 on the year and they are set to finish the regular season with the Harrisonville Tournament today, followed by a road match at Lamar High School Monday.
