Pearl Spurlock, 80, Nevada, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. She was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Tribbey, Ky., to William Robinson and Mary Ellen Combs Robinson. She was married April 30, 1949, in Bulan, Ky., to Albert Spurlock and he preceded her in death Oct. 5, 1994.
Mrs. Spurlock was born and raised in Kentucky. She and her husband Albert moved to Kansas City, Kan., where they lived for 25 years. They moved to Nevada in 1992 and she lived here the remainder of her life. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Nevada.
Survivors include five sons, Danny Spurlock and his wife, Pam, Cass County, Mo., Jimmy Spurlock and his wife, Yolanda, Nixa, Mo., Albert Wayne Spurlock, Kansas City, Mo., William Edward Spurlock and his wife, Sherri, Nevada, and Kenneth Spurlock, also of Nevada; two daughters, Mary Ann Dill, Dickinson, Texas, and Cheryl Sue Reyes and her husband, Ruben, Olathe, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Opal Coffman, Linwood, Kan., Goldie Hauser, Nevada, Alice Hughes, Kansas City, Kan., Ida Mae Bennett, Marian, Kan., Lois Walters, Hillsborough, Ohio, and Joyce Young, also of Hillsborough, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Ralph David Robinson in 1999.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Jerry Pyle officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada.
Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, between 1 and 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
