Lauren Gerke - Spencer Thompson

Mark and Donna Gerke of Pilot Grove, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter Lauren Gerke, to Spencer Thompson, son of Bob and Cindy Thompson; grandson of Charles and Barbara Thompson and great-grandson of Bertha Moseley, all of Nevada, Mo.

Lauren received her bachelor's degree in AgriBusiness Management from the University of Missouri in 2011 and is a credit analyst for FCS Financial. Spencer received his bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Missouri and is currently in his third year of veterinary school at the university.

A Jan. 5 wedding is planned in Pilot Grove.
