Nevada cross country competes at districts

BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The Nevada High School cross country team saw its season come to an end Saturday in the Class 3, District 6 meet.

In order to advance to State, runners had to finish in the top 15 in their respective races and no Nevada runners were able to accomplish that feat. Ben Sommer came closest for the Tigers as he placed 28th with a time of 18 minutes, 40 seconds, followed by Dalton Shunkwiler in 32nd with a time of 18:54.

Kieran Cane rounded out the order for Nevada in the boys' race, taking 57th with a time of 21:29. Myrissa Dunfield was the only Nevada runner in the girls' race and she finished 49th with a time of 26:56.
