Boys' youth basketball camp moved

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Nevada Daily Mail

The location of the annual Nevada Tigers youth basketball program that is scheduled to begin on Nov. 10, has been changed.

Originally scheduled to be held exclusively in Wynn Gymnasium at Nevada High School, the camp will be held on Saturdays during the months of November and December, with the first session slated for Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The first two sessions on Nov. 10 and 17 will be held at Nevada Middle School due to the floor at Wynn Gymnasium still being under construction. Tigers head basketball coach John McNeley said the first two sessions are the only ones that have been relocated at this point.

The camp comes with a cost of $25 for all interested participants and registration will take place 15 minutes prior to the first session.

The five scheduled sessions will include general basketball instruction, as well as game-like situations and will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Nov. 10 and 17 and from 9-11 a.m., on Dec. 1, 8 and 15. The $25 registration fee also includes the T-shirt that will be given to each participant.

For more information on the camp and where to obtain a registration form, contact McNeley at (417) 448-2020 ext. 5049.
