Highway Patrol Reports Oct. 30-Nov. 24
9:45 a.m.: An accident occurred at Route BB, five miles east of Taberville, when a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Clifford L. Sumner, Schell City, Mo., swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, ran off the right side of the road and overturned. Clifford suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, Mo.
8:15 a.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 54 Highway, west of Walker corner, when a 2012 Jeep Patriot driven by Kathleen M. Brockway, Nevada, Mo., slowed to attempt a left turn and was passed and struck by a 2006 Chevrolet HHR driven by Linda S. Robitaille, Walker, Mo. Robitaille suffered minor injuries and sought own treatment.
4:05 a.m.: An accident occurred six miles south of Schell City, Mo., on AA Highway when a brown 1999 Dodge Stratus driven by Chad H. Masten, Grain Valley, Mo., skidded off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole and caught fire. Masten suffered serious injuries and was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
Matthew S. McIntosh, Nevada, Mo., was arrested and held in Cass County on two charges of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and failure to display registration on vehicle. McIntosh has been released.
