Bronaugh salvages split with Montrose

Saturday, December 1, 2012

BRONAUGH, Mo. -- The Bronaugh varsity basketball teams hosted a doubleheader Thursday night against Montrose. Bronaugh won the boys' game, but the Lady Jays cruised to a 20-point victory.

In the girls' game, Natalie Collins, Mikayla Engeman and Hannah Boden all score double figures for Montrose, giving the Lady Jays more than enough of an offensive spark to pick up the victory by the final score of 43-23. Martell Moore was one of six Lady Wildcats who got into the scoring column and she led the offensive effort for Bronaugh with seven points in the contest.

Bronaugh won the boys' game, 67-47, on the heels of a 25-point performance by Patrick Hallam. Hallam was joined in double figures by Chance Wait with 12 points and Thomas Kerbs with 10 as the Wildcats took the victory.
