Luella S. Rutledge, 90, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Christian Health Care in Nevada. She was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Nevada, to Joe Hayden Ainsworth and Lula Anna Hartman Ainsworth. She married Charles Wesley Rutledge I on March 10, 1957, in Nevada, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1964.

Luella worked in the Nevada State Hospital Laundry Department for 15 years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a 70-year member of the American Legion. Luella loved Nevada Tiger football and never missed a home game. When her health prevented her from going to games, she would watch them with her binoculars out of her dining room window.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Jacks, and her husband, Bill, Nevada; one son, Chuck Rutledge and his wife, Diane, Nevada; one grandson, Charles Wesley Rutledge II; two granddaughters, Jamie Nicole Richardson and Maria Rutledge; four stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca Stukesbury, Ness City, Kan.; and her in-laws, Rene Hamby and Betty Jo Smith, both of Stockton, Mo., Sue Drake, Nevada, Dwain Rutledge, Lamar, Mo., and Virgil Rutledge, Jerico Springs, Mo. Luella was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson, Lindsey Cunningham, in 1987; her nephew and best buddy, Lee Hamby; her brothers-in-law, Bill Hamby, Hank Haines, Donald Rutledge and Butch Smith; and sister-in-law, Audrey Haines.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 31, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Jim Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 6-7 p.m., at the funeral home on Sunday, Dec. 30.
