Seventh grade boys take second at El Dorado Springs

The Nevada Middle School seventh grade boys lost to Camdenton 55-49 in the final game of the El Dorado Springs Tournament on Saturday, to take second place.

Zach Gardner led the offensive effort for Nevada with 23 points in the contest. Braeden Hinton added 14.

Nevada was scheduled to get right back into action against Webb City on Monday at 5:30 p.m., at the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center.

In that contest, Nevada's A team suffered a 30-25 defeat to fall to 2-2 on the season. Hinton led the offensive effort for Nevada with 12 points.

Webb City completed the sweep with a 33-16 victory in the B game. In that contest, Daulton Shepard and Shelby Trotter each finished with a team-high four points as the B team opened the season at 0-1.
