Bronaugh girls fall in tournament play

Bronaugh's girls faced a tough Colgan team Tuesday night and found themselves in an early hole. Although they rallied to stay more even in the second half, they still finished with a 66-25 setback in the Tony Dubray Classic in Liberal Tuesday afternoon.

Bronaugh was scheduled to play Wednesday, at 4:30 p.m., in the next round of the tournament, while Colgan faced Galena.

In pool play, Lockwood faced face Liberal, both having won their opening games. Wednesday night's results were not available at press time.

Bronaugh fell behind 22-7 at the first break and trailed 47-13 at halftime.

The difference in the second half was just 19-12.

Martell Moore and Breanna Householder each had seven points to pace the Wildcats. Susie Hartman added five, Cydnee Piper four, and Heather Baker two.
