OSCEOLA, Mo. -- Sheldon's basketball girls fell behind, 23-0, in the first quarter and didn't score until the second, eventually falling to Climax Springs by a final score of 69-15 in the consolation round of the Osceola Invitational Tournament Wednesday.

By halftime, the Lady Panthers trailed 41-5.

The Lady Panthers kept plugging away, though, and had their best quarter of the game in the third. But they were still outscored, 16-8, and trailed, 57-13, with one period left.

Climax Springs will next face Hermitage, who prevailed over Appleton City by a final score of 38-34 in the other half of the bracket. The consolation championship is Friday night.

Destiny Shelton led the Lady Panthers with 10 points in the contest, while Logan Lamb added five.
