DADEVILLE, Mo. -- Sheldon's boys' basketball team came up just short in 69-66 overtime loss to Dadeville Monday night.
The Panthers led at the first break, 19-12, and still led at halftime, 33-27.
But a 10-point third period, coupled with a 21-point run by Dadeville, resulted in a 48-43 deficit.
Sheldon rallied and outscored its opponent, 17-12, in the final 8 minutes, producing a 60-60 tie.
Dadeville managed nine points, while holding Sheldon to six in the extra period for the decision.
Micah Swanson and Reed Worsley put in 18 points each for the Panthers. Zack Enochs and Corey Baney added 12 apiece and Taylor Belew had six.
Zane Medley's 27 for Dadeville topped all scorers.
