Nevada Council to present 2013 Revitalization Award to apartment contractors

The Nevada City Council will present the 2013 Revitalization Award to Chris Hendren and Wes Ogle, owners of Buildet Enterprises, for their Ashview Suites LLC project at 721 N. Ash Street during its meeting Tuesday.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Nevada Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash.

This year's unique award has been created by Ray's Trophy.

The council also will consider bids from APAC and Snyder Construction for the 2013 street improvements.

Other items on the council's agenda include the final reading of an ordinance accepting the bid from Washington Electronics for storm siren maintenance, the first reading of an ordinance approving a contract with Lamar Outdoor Advertising for outdoor billboards and an agreement with Vernon County Collector-Treasurer Phil Couch for the collection of Nevada's property tax.

The council also will consider Resolution No. 1360, approving a liquor license for Tri-Daddy's BBQ & Southern Cooking to sell beer by the drink at the restaurant; and Resolution No. 1361 approving Buildet Enterprises LLC as the winner of the 2013 Revitalization Award.
