Nevada Rotary Club offers high school scholarships for seniors

Nevada Rotary Club is offering three $1,000 scholarships to Nevada High School seniors graduating in the spring of 2013.

The club will also award a $1,000 scholarship to a Vernon County student graduating in the spring from the various county schools. This includes students who are home schooled and those attending private schools.

The students must attend college in fall 2013 to be eligible. Students must be in the top 25 percent of the graduating class, exhibit leadership in school and community activities and exhibit good citizenship.

The application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation from previous instructors. A copy of the student's transcript and test scores should be attached to the application. The scholarship deadline is April 20.
