Nevada boys' golfers fall to Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL, Mo. -- Pleasant Hill edged Nevada, 167-170, Thursday in a golf dual on the front side of the Quarry course at the Country Creek Golf Club.

Taylor Livingston led the Roosters with a 1-over-par 37 -- one shot better than Nevada's Andrew Quitno. Nevada freshman Levi Palmer turned in what head coach Brian Leonard called, "a steady round of 40."

Keegan Bell shot a 46 and Daxtyn Osburn had one of his best rounds of the season with the same score. Andrew Schmidt carded a 51 to round out the varsity scores.

Chase Beisly led the Tigers' JV squad with a 51, followed by Anton Umek at 57. Asher Dicello finished at 60, while Tyler McElwayne shot a 66 and Jarod Schmidt rounded out the order for Nevada at 78.

The Tigers are scheduled to play in the Bolivar Invitational on the Silo Ridge Course at 9 a.m., Monday.
