Jean Marie Wagner, 82, formerly of the Metz, Mo., area passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Nevada, Mo., to Clyde Henry and Elva Carrier Henry. She married Donald Wagner on Dec. 22, 1951, in Butler, Mo.

Jean grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1948. She had lived in the Metz area since 1954. Jean was a member of the Whitfield Women's Club, Metz. She was an avid bowler on the women's Wednesday morning bowling league. Jean loved bingo and was active with the Rinehart 4-H for many years.

Survivors include Don Wagner, Richards, Mo.; one son, Steven Wagner and his wife, Betty Chung, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Debra Hoenshell and her husband, Wyatt, Richards, Mo., and Donna Nichols, Coweta, Okla.; four grandchildren, Shawn Hoenshell, Peculiar, Mo., Kelly Eaton, Richards, Amanda Nichols, Norman, Okla., and Zachary Nichols, Odessa, Texas; and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m., at Balltown Cemetery, Horton, Mo., with Wyatt Hoenshell officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
