Red Sox game canceled

Monday, June 17, 2013

The Nevada Red Sox AA American Legion baseball team was scheduled to be back in action at Champion Diamonds Monday, but head coach Jerrod Alexander said the date had to be scrapped due to rain.

The Red Sox will be back in action on Tuesday, in what Alexander called a "huge game" at Warrensburg, in an attempt to keep pace with the district leaders. Warrensburg will enter the day 5-1 in district play, while Nevada is 3-1, 4-2 overall.

The Red Sox won't play at home again until June 28, thanks to games on Thursday against Carthage and on June 24 against Holden being postponed due to scheduling conflicts for Alexander and the Carthage team.
