This week's Music on the Square event has a special treat tonight, offering attendees their first opportunity to celebrate Nevada's newest television personality, Jason Claspill, said Doug Harper, Music on the Square coordinator.

Claspill is a cast member of the History Channel's "God, Guns and Automobiles," a reality TV show originating from Max Motors in Butler and featuring owner Mark Muller, his brother, Erich, and employees of the dealership in Butler. Claspill, who made his series debut Monday, is Mark Muller's personal assistant.

Harper said Claspill will be Music on the Square's guest master of ceremony.

Music this week will be provided by recording artist Matthew Harper.

"This fun combination is sure to be a hit with the people who come out to this great free event," he said.

Stores will be open on the Square till about 6 p.m. or so "if you get there a little bit early, you can do some shopping," he said.

There will be dining until at least 7 p.m. and the on-site concession stand will be open until 8. "Come down and support the rise of cool connected to our home town," Harper said, adding the show "God, Guns and Automobiles" is here to stay -- 1.9 Million people viewed the show on it's first day. Make sure to bring a lawn chair and something for Jason to autograph, Harper said.

The free community event goes from 6 to 8 p.m. on the courthouse lawn in downtown Nevada.
