Tuesday, November 5, 2013

When the Nevada City Council meets at 7 tonight in the council chambers in the Public Safety Building, 200 S. Ash Street, it will be considering an ordinance refunding certificates of participation that were sold to finance the construction of a new public safety building. Refunding the certificates for 2013 and 2014 will allow the city to maintain an appropriate level of cash reserves for those years. Other bids include replacement of 30 reverse osmosis membrane elements for the water treatment plant.

The council will also be considering bids for 30 water meters that are more than five years old.

The council will also be holding a public hearing and the first reading of an ordinance approving the application for federal financial assistance for the city's Fare Share Taxi Coupon Program for 2014.

Other items on the agenda include the first reading of a non-disturbance agreement with Martin and Janet Hill and the consideration of a resolution approving a travel portion of right-of-way permit for Wind Riders Motorcycle Organization.
