Chamberlin next speaker in series at Cottey

Jean Chamberlin is the third speaker in the 2013-'14 Distinguished Speaker Series sponsored by Cottey College's Institute for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. She will speak on "Women's Leadership in Aeronautics, Space, Security, and Defense" Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Missouri Recital Hall inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. A reception will follow the address.

Chamberlin is the vice president of program management for Boeing Defense, Space and Security. Named to this position in 2013, Chamberlin leads a team that provides BDS program managers with best practices, processes, and tools throughout the program lifecycle. She also oversees program management talent and leadership development through formal education and training, on-the-job/rotational experience, skills assessment, and succession planning.

Chamberlin is also a pilot and aeronautical engineer who earned a master's degree in engineering management as a Sloan fellow at Standford University, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.
