Christi Marie Sutton, 45, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., passed away at Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Mo., on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013. Christi was born Dec. 26, 1967, to Gene and Louise Lasley. She attended El Dorado Springs High School and after graduation went on to Northwest Missouri State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in agriculture marketing.

Christi married the love of her life, Will Sutton, on Sept. 5, 1992. They had three children: Heath, Jared and Emily.

In 1997, they started showing rabbits which came to be a big part of her life. She was also very involved in Vernon County 4-H, serving as shooting sports coordinator, rabbit leader, hunting and outdoor skills coach, and air pistol coach. She was a great role model and mentor for many. She loved being involved in 4-H and showing rabbits because of all the great people she got to meet.

Preceding her in death were her grandpa, Earl Benham; and her Grandpa and Grandma Lasley.

Survivors include her husband, Will Sutton; three children, Heath, 17, Jared 16, and Emily, 12; two stepchildren, Seth Sutton and Mandi Stephens; father and mother, Gene and Louise Lasley; brother, Michael Lasley; grandmother, Rachel Benham; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Christi will be missed by many, but never forgotten.

Funeral services for Christi Sutton will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m., at the El Dorado Springs Church of God (Holiness), with the Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery near Oyer. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Rusty Norval, Jim Sappington, John Houk, Mike Cook, Wayne Prewitt, and Dusty Stong.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
