Florence Earlene Millstead

Florence Earlene Millstead, 87, of Nevada, Mo., passed away at her residence on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, following a lengthy illness. She was born April 26, 1926, in Sheldon, Mo., to Earl Reeves Cliffman and Alberta Duncan Cliffman. She married Walt M. Millstead on Dec. 3, 1965, and he survives of the home.

Earlene was raised in Vernon County and graduated from Nevada High School. She lived in Kansas City for 18 years where she worked as a book binder. In 1964, she returned to Vernon County where she has lived ever since. Earlene was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Milo, Mo.

In addition to her husband, Walt, she is survived by one son, Earl Osborn and his wife, Sandra, Ozark, Mo.; her daughter, Lynda Theno and her husband, Jim, Greely, Colo.; stepson, Mark Millstead and his wife, Angela, Kansas City, Kan.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Cliffman and his wife, Edith, Nevada. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and Neil Cliffman.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, with Ray Dean Scism officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
