John M. Cragin II - Melissa A. DeCocq

Gary and Pookie DeCocq of Richards, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa April DeCocq, to John Marshall Cragin II, son of Mike and Juanita Cragin of Nevada, Mo. Melissa is the granddaughter of the late Karl and Helene Jackson and the late Hank and Lucile DeCocq. John is the grandson of the late Norbin and Ruby Schenker and John and Joy Cragin of Joplin.

Melissa is a 2009 graduate of Nevada High School and a 2013 graduate of Missouri State University. She earned a degree in Computer Animation and is interning at Black Lantern Studios in Springfield.

John is a 2004 graduate of Nevada High School and earned degrees in Philosophy and Anthropology from Missouri State University in 2010 and 2012. He is currently employed by Jenkins Diesel Power Inc.

The couple will be married the summer of 2014 and will reside in Springfield.
