Nevada's Zach Gardner scores two of his 16 points during Monday night's eighth-grade A game against Lamar.

The Nevada Middle School eighth-grade boys' basketball teams got back into action Monday night, hosting the Tigers of Lamar Middle School.

The Tigers opened the A game with a 12-7 lead, but simply couldn't hold on as Lamar poured in the offense from that point on, ultimately taking the victory by a final score of 54-37. Zach Gardner led the offensive effort for the Tigers with 16 points, while Braeden Hinton added nine, Hunter Mason seven, Isaiah Butler three and Daulton Shepard two.

Nevada's B team was in action on the night, as well, but those results were not available at press time.

Next on the schedule for Nevada is Tuesday, when they head back out on the road to take on the Bulldogs of El Dorado Springs Middle School. The night's first game is set to tip off at 5:30 p.m., at El Dorado Springs.
