Streets, cycle races on council agenda
Nevada Daily Mail
The Nevada City Council will be considering Resolution No. 1389, to confirm the streets that will be resurfaced in 2014, during a special council meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday night, in the council chambers in the Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash. This meeting was postponed from Feb. 4, by last week's snow storm.
Other new business will include the first reading of a lease agreement with Young Iron & Metal Inc. for a 30-foot gooseneck trailer used for recycling, and consideration of a resolution declaring an old tractor and brush hog from the golf course surplus property, so it can be sold.
The council will also be holding the second readings of ordinances confirming the Nevada Fire Department's fire response and procedures policy and an ordinance setting rural fire membership fees from Jan. 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
Also on the agenda are the second readings of a contract with M-NOD Taxi and Shuttle for subsidized public transportation services for 2014 and an ordinance budgeting money from the tourism tax for the Tour of Nevada cycling race in July.
