Raymond Eugene Quackenbush

Raymond Eugene Quackenbush, 65, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, in Vancouver, Wash. Ray was born May 22, 1948, to Dee O. and Ruth L. (Barlow) Quackenbush, in Joplin, Mo. The family moved to Nevada in 1953.

Ray attended Nevada schools. Ray moved to Portland, Ore., and later moved to Vancouver, Wash. He worked as a tree topping foreman, mechanic, and jack of all trades. Ray enjoyed camping, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with family and friends.

Ray is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sue (Heinzel) Quackenbush; daughter, Holly; son, Kent; stepchildren, Shelley, Kat, and Amanda Heinzel; grandchildren, Caitlin, Monika, Tyler, Colton, Jacob, Gavin, Cadiance, and Emily; sisters, Donna (Gilbert) Alderman, Linda Stacey, and Nancy (John) Williams; brothers, Jerry (Karol) Quackenbush, and James Quackenbush; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Ruth Quackenbush; sister, Diane Pike; and three brothers, Robert, Ronnie, and Bruce Quackenbush.

There will be a small service held today, in Vancouver, Wash.
