Lacel Lee Worthington, 50, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2014, at the Crete Area Medical Center in Crete, Neb.

Lacel was born on Dec. 28, 1963, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., to Irene (Worthington) Banks. He grew up in Stockton, Mo., where he lived most of his life. While living in Stockton he worked at the Hammons Walnut Factory, Hauled Hay, and broke horses for neighbors.

He moved to Nebraska and was working for David Stejskal and Gary Renner, as a ranch hand. He loved working outdoors, and with his cattle.

He loved horses, sitting by a fire and visiting. He was a hard working man. He would work from sun up to sun down never complaining about it. He loved to hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He always helped people out when asked.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Irene (Worthington) Banks; grandpa, James Worthington; grandma, Neva (Worthington) Rust; and uncle, Lewis Worthington.

Survivors include two sisters, Veda (Worthington) Stone and companion, Michael Kordelski, of Nevada, Mo., and Michelle (Worthington) Mize and husband, Darrill, of Nevada; three nephews, Chris Stone and his girlfriend, Jessie Norman, of Nevada, Zevin George, of Nevada, and Nathan Stone and wife, Sam, of Ft. Riley, Kan.; one niece, Stephanie Stone, of Nevada; one great-niece, Elle Stone, of Ft. Riley, Kan,; two aunts, Lula Bradley and Dillie Routt, both of Nevada; one uncle, Amor Worthington and wife, Becky, of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; his best friend and boss, David Stejskal and wife, Cheryl, and Gary Renner and wife, Karla, all of Crete, Neb.; all his friends at the 9th Street Bar and Grill, of Crete, Neb.; and a special friend, Marla Miller, of Crete, Neb.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., today, at the Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton, Mo.
