"I am very proud of my family, and of our hometown. I feel an obligation in my heart, as I've always felt to get involved, work hard and giveback to our community. This is why I am running for school board. My talents are God's gifts to me, but when I give those to others, that is my gift to him. I want to set the best example I can for our children, so that they too, will learn a good work ethic and the importance of giving back to others. Time spent serving your community and others is never wasted. I would like the opportunity to serve our community and our school in the role of board member. I would like to help make a difference, not only for my children, but for the children yet to come."

Kimberly Rader

Age: 33

Lived in Walker: as a child and 10 years.

Occupation: secretary for Jim's Appliances & Repair's in Nevada.

"I'd like to be considered for the NEVC school board because I know that I can provide a positive input and direction in very difficult economic times. The agenda I have is to provide our students with the best possible programs and educational opportunities that we can afford. I am an avid supporter of school and the sporting events. I look forward to continuing my service to the school, community and especially the children. My efforts as a board member would center on serving all of the children in the community; one child is no more important than another. Our schools are here to serve the educational needs of all the children. I strongly believe that we have the most tremendous teachers and staff working with our children. Education takes place in the classroom and the board's efforts must focus on enhancing and enriching what goes on there. By working together we can all share in the knowledge and satisfaction that we have provided for the educational needs of all children, and have built a district where students, parents, teachers, and staff feel they are welcome and that they belong."
