Barker, Overton win Bradham Newcomer Award

Nevada High School athletic director John McNeley led the presentation of the Kelly Bradham Newcomer Award in the Nevada High School library Tuesday. Created in November of 2001, the Kelly Bradham Newcomer Award is presented to the athlete who has made the most significant contribution as a first-time letterwinner of any varsity athletic team at Nevada High School, for the current school year. The award is dedicated to the memory of longtime Nevada Daily Mail Sports Editor Kelly Bradham, who died in 2008. The female Kelly Bradham Newcomer Award Winner for the 2013-14 school year is Lexie Overton and the male winner is Brandon Barker.
