SEDALIA -- After a day off on Monday, the Nevada Griffons baseball team was scheduled to get back into action Tuesday, in an attempt to get back on track and rebound from a forgettable performance at home on Sunday, in a 9-6 loss to the Joplin Outlaws.

For Tuesday's contest, the Griffons were scheduled to head back out on the road to take on the MINK League South Division-leading Sedalia Bombers. Mother Nature had other plans, however, as heavy and widespread rainfall impacted the majority of the state of Missouri Monday and into Tuesday, leaving the field at Sedalia's Liberty Park unplayable and forcing officials to call off the contest.

No make-up date had been announced, as of Tuesday evening.

Next on the schedule for head coach Ryan Mansfield's Griffons is Thursday, when they host the Omaha Diamond Spirit. First pitch in that contest is set for 7 p.m., at Lyons Stadium, weather and field conditions permitting.
