Monett Tri-State 'A' swim meet results

The Monett Tri-State 'A' Finals took place Aug. 2-3 at the Ginny and Chris Fuldner Family Aquatic Center in Monett.

The two-day event featured 12 Tri-state teams and an associate team from Lebanon. In total, 389 swimmers participated including 37 from the Nevada Neptunes, who are coached by Karen Claypool.

The Joplin Stingrays took first place. Monett finished in second and Webb City placed third. The Neptunes finished in seventh.

Neptunes High Point 'A' Championship Trophy Awards by Division went to: Cody Leung ---- First place (8 and under), and Emma Leisure ---- Third place (10 and under).

Claypool said that she was "very proud" of the hard work and dedication displayed by all of her swimmers' this season.

Claypool said team members typically arrive for practice at 6:30 a.m., training for two hours a day ---- five days a week.
