The Nevada FFA Chapter went to Springfield, Mo., to the Ozarks fall Farmfest, an annual exhibition of livestock, equipment, and products.
Students were able to spend the day touring the booths and visiting with exhibitors, while completing a fun, educational assignment.
Students were given a list of topics such as "livestock" and "crops" that they had to find, then take a "selfie" with. Students had the opportunity to talk to producers, learn about the ag industry, and see new products.
"I enjoyed walking around, looking at vendors, and learning about potential career fields," said senior FFA member McKayla Hoselton.
"There were a wide variety of agricultural commodities and products to look at such as cattle, pigs, lambs, goats, corn, soybeans, animal feed, equipment, tack, machinery, and much more."
Senior FFA member Payton Dahmer said, "Farmfest is a great opportunity for any student interested in the agriculture industry to see possible career options as well as possible employers.
"Farmfest has just about any kind of agricultural product, and really gives students who make the trip to Springfield an educational experience, while having fun and getting to see everything it has to offer."
The Nevada FFA Chapter takes this trip every year, allowing sophomores, juniors, and seniors to learn about agricultural products and services while exploring their interests in possible career fields.
