Bids and 2015 budget on council agenda

The Nevada City Council will be considering bids for the public works department for concrete, fuel, rock and slurry chat for 2015 needs, the construction of the Spring Street Sidewalk improvement project and the approval of the emergency repair of a water line at the water treatment plant when it meets Tuesday at 7 p.m., in the Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash St.

Other items under consideration include the first reading of several ordinances, including: setting the fee structure at the Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course, which has an increase in the trail fee from $475 to $500; an engineering services agreement with Allgeier, Martin and Associates; and amendments to the 2014 budget.

The council will also be considering the final reading of several proposed ordinances including: increases in water and sewer rates; an agreement with Alliance Water Resources to operate the city's water and sewer systems during 2015 and the bid from Rosetta Construction for improvements to the city's sewer lines.
