The L. F. Richardson Foundation has donated $20,000 to equip the new Nevada Police Station. Foundation trustees presented a check to Nevada Police Chief Graham Burnley Jan. 30, to help defray taxpayer cost in purchasing new office furniture, evidence storage shelves and detective work stations. The Richardson Foundation has supported the city of Nevada in this fashion several times over the decades.

"We are very grateful for this donation provided by the trustees of the L.F. Richardson Foundation for their continued support of the city of Nevada," said Chief Burnley. "With their help, we are able to properly equip the new NPD police station to meet the needs of the 21st century."

Following the presentation, Chief Burnley led the trustees on a tour of the new police station, still under the final steps of construction.
