Christopher William Aguilar, 56, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at his home in Nevada. He was born Jan. 22, 1959, in Oceanside, Calif., to Julio M. and Betty Lou (Epson) Aguilar. Christopher met the love of his life, Nancy Seitz, on Jan. 21, 2002, and she survives of the home.

While growing up Christopher spent time in 29 Palms, Calif., before moving to Kansas City, Mo., and graduating from high school there. Following high school, Christopher joined the United States Marine Corp and served his country for three years. During that time he was a member of the Special Forces. He then returned to Kansas City and worked as an Over the Road Trucker for many years.

In 1990, Christopher moved to Nevada and has continued to live here since that time. While in Nevada he was employed by Doty Nursery for several years and then also worked for Vernon County Meat Packers until their closing. Christopher was raised in a Catholic Church, but he enjoyed attending the Baptist services.

He loved life and lived it with zest. Christopher loved spending time with his family and friends. Chris "Lookout" Aguilar loved racing "R.C." cars, and traveling with friends and teammates to various parts of the country to race, making friends throughout the United States. Christopher was known for his generous spirit and contagious laugh.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, survivors include his son, Christopher Patrick Aguilar and his wife, Erin, and their daughter, Amethyst, all of Kansas; two sisters, Gail Simms and her husband, Bill, Las Vegas, Nev., and Marie Bias and her husband, Bob, Leavenworth, Kan.; two brothers, Mike Aguilar and his wife, Norma, Enid, Okla., and Brian Aguilar, Kansas City; mother-in-law, Betty Seitz, Nevada; brother-in-law, Dan Seitz and his wife, Jo Ann, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Patricia Romines and Brenda Amos.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 16, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Chad Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
