Wilma Mae Brown, 77, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at Nevada Nursing and Rehab, in Nevada, Mo. Wilma was born on March 19, 1937, in Howard, S.D., to George and Louella (Fulwider) Hardick. She was united in marriage to Delbert Eugene Brown on July 26, 1955, in Howard, S.D., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 2013.

Wilma was raised in South Dakota and graduated from high school there. In 1996, Wilma and Gene came to Nevada and made this their permanent home. She found employment at the Nevada City Hospital where she worked in diatery for 17 years. Wilma attended the Faith Baptist Church in Walker, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Lewis Brown and his wife, Sherry, Bronaugh, Mo., and Philip Brown and his wife, Sharon, Carthage, Mo.; four grandchildren, Derek Brown and his wife, Rauni, Joplin, Mo., Alexis Brown, Bronaugh, Kayla Frerer and her husband, Trevor, Joplin, and Morgan Harris, Carthage; four great-grandchildren, Lorelei Brown, Carter Eugene Brown, Brayden Robinson, and Latham Frerer; one sister, Estella Campbell, Madison, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; and one granddaughter, Jordynn Brown, on Sept. 18, 2013.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 16, at John's Chapel Cemetery, Ash Grove, Mo., with Ron Bogart officiating. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Memorials are suggested in his memory to the Faith Baptist Church in Walker, Mo.
