Missouri Eagle will be making changes to its distribution business in Nevada.

Citing "an effort to improve customer service and efficiency," a press release from the company said it will maintain a satellite dock facility and office in Nevada, with the current warehouse closing April 6.

"The changes will allow Missouri Eagle to maintain its current level of customer service and position it for future growth," noted the announcement.

Trucks will be loaded at Missouri Eagle's Joplin facility, and routes will originate from both Joplin and Nevada. One route will be serviced from the company's Lebanon facility.

"We have been a proud member of the Nevada business community for 30 years, and look forward to maintaining and growing that relationship," said Charles E. (Ed) Brown Jr., COO of Missouri Eagle. "Although there will be a minimal impact to our workforce, the majority of our employees will remain intact and continue working out of Nevada.

"We appreciate our retailer and consumer support as these changes are implemented."
