Lester Lee Remington
Lester Lee Remington, 66, of Chetopa, and formerly of Nevada, Mo., passed away at his home unexpectedly on Friday, March 27, 2015.
He was born July 29, 1948, in Oswego, Kan., to Irl L. and Wilda M. (Riddle) Remington. Lester graduated from Nevada High School in 1966 and later attended the University of Tulsa.
Following his retirement from Chevron Corporation in Northport, Ala., Lester returned to Chetopa where he had lived the past two years. He had a passion for gardening, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
Survivors include son, Andrew Remington and his wife, Donetta, Nevada, Mo.; daughter, Christina Huggins and her husband, Timothy, Glen Allan, Miss.; two granddaughters, Taylor and Molly Remington, Nevada; three sisters, Margaret Norris of Chadbourn, N.C., Darlene Bryan of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Liz Sadler of Chetopa, Kan.; and numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jennifer Bright.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, in Chetopa. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
