Why are you running?

We are "all in" as to our investment in Nevada, my business interests are very concentrated and expanding; and our kids are growing up in this community. I want to make sure that we have a safe, progressive, sustainable community to provide all the opportunities for our children to grow up healthy and well prepared for where their next steps might lead them. Economic growth in the community helps all businesses, property owners, and productive citizens- expanded tax bases help to build infrastructure and continued employment for those maintaining our city. Helping to guide that growth and implement resources in an effective plan motivates me to offer my experiences and skills to this position.

What are the top three issues confronting the city?

Utilizing our recent momentum to springboard into a modern city through economic growth opportunities

Community pride -- when citizens are proud of their city, they -- start new / expand businesses, develop jobs/opportunities, take care of their property, help their neighbors, report/reduce criminal activity, find ways to help others vs. complain about what is not being done for them, and project a sense of "community ownership" onto their children.

Removing the anchor. We have a weight that is dragging back the progress of our community, a weight that is increased every time a utility bill goes unpaid, every time a rental house is left damaged and full of garbage, every time someone doesn't show up to work because of drugs, every instance of littering, theft, or vandalism in this city. As we identify the causes of this weight and begin to lift the pressure caused by wasted resources amazing outcomes will result and the community will not be attractive to the unproductive.

Your top priority once elected

Minimum standards for dwellings, mandatory trash service, expansion of green initiatives- where economically beneficial, support efforts of development and expansion, and celebrate the successes of those making a difference in our community. Create an environment to minimize the effect of roadblocks to success.
