Nevada seventh-graders place second at El Do Invitational

The Nevada Tigers seventh-grade girls track and field team coasted into a second-place finish at the 18-team El Dorado Springs Track and Field Invitational, April 27.

In addition, the NMS eighth-grade girls and boys each brought home a fourth-place team finish, while the seventh-grade boys placed sixth.

* Callie Beshore, first-place in the 1600 meter run, 5:49.22; first-place in the 800 meter dash; 2:41.35.

*Morgan Smith, second-place in pole vault; 6-feet.

* Julia Cassidy, second-place in the high jump; 4-feet.

* Beshore, Madalyn Koenig, Hailee Lundine, and Teagan Charles, third-place in 400 meter relay; 51.88.

* Lindsay Phebus, fourth-place in high-jump, 4-feet.

* Maggie Leisure, fifth-place in 800 meter run; 3:02.70.

* Stacey Pennington, fifth-place in triple jump; 26-feet, 10 1/2 inches.

* Jordyn Ropelato, fifth-place in shot put; 26-feet, 1-inch.
