Nevada Little League Football registers to play in new league

Even though football season is a little over four months away, it is time to register for the 2015 Little League Football season.

Nevada will now be a part of the SEK Football League, competing against teams from Fort Scott, Pittsburg, St. Mary's Colgan, Parsons, and Columbus.

The 2015 football schedule will consist of six games total (three home and three away). The season will last approximately from Monday, Aug. 17 to Oct. 24. Exact dates will be provided later.

"By joining this league, we must get an accurate number of student athletes who will be participating, to determine the number of teams that we will have in both the third and fourth-grade division as well as the fifth and sixth-grade division," said the league's board of directors.

Registration for the Nevada Little League Football season will "Kick Off" Monday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 13 at the Nevada High School Football Fieldhouse from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

You can also register following the Future Nevada Tiger Football Camp May 19-21st each night from 5-5:30 p.m.

Be sure to take advantage of the lower registration fees by registering on either May 11, May 13, and May 19-21.

A non-refundable deposit will be needed when registering. This will go toward the overall registration fees of your child.

The balance of the registration fees will be collected at equipment check out in early August 2015.

Items needed at registration include the filled out form, a copy of the child's birth certificate that will be kept, and the non-refundable deposit.
