Parmenter feted at 4-H Alumni reception

Carol Parmenter will be honored at the 4th Annual Vernon County 4-H Alumni Reception.

Parmenter served as the University Extension youth specialist who, among other responsibilities, led Vernon County 4-Hers to accomplish many things, according to a press release announcing the recognition.

Parmenter retired after serving in this position from November 1989 to January 2009.

The reception is 1 to 3 p.m. in the Home Economics building. The time will be spent visiting and "catching up" on 4H memories with the program scheduled for 1:30. All past, present and future 4-H members and leaders are encouraged to attend.

In addition to Carol, the outstanding leaders from 1985 to 1989 will be honored. These leaders include Harold and Eva Fritts, Pat and Marvin Foster, Barbara Cubbage, Mark Miller, Bernadette Rogers, Hazel Wilson, Neil Gerster, Virginia and Joe Habjan, Dennis Thomas, Peggy Pyle, Vickie Erwin, and Ted Dilly.
