Barbara Ann Chrisenbery, 72, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, following a brief illness. Barbara was born on April 23, 1943, in Deepwater, Mo., to Leonard Eli and Helen Lucille (Drake) Crowder. She was united in marriage to Robert Earl Chrisenbery on Dec. 4, 1964, in Clinton, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2007.

Barbara was raised in Deepwater and graduated high school there. For 36 years she worked at Key Work Clothes in Nevada as a seamstress. She was later employed by the Nevada R-5 school district in food service. Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo at the Senior Center, she loved quilting, sewing, cooking and eating out. She also enjoyed time spent in her flower garden and with her dog Patches. Barbara was a member of the First Christian Church, in Nevada.

Survivors include her sisters and brothers, Laverne Bailey, Opal Gordon, Frank Crowder, Jewel Bartley and her husband, Don, Robert Crowder and Donna, Clifford Crowder and his wife, Helen, Connie Haner and her husband, Wayne, Herbie Crowder and Shirley; stepdaughter, Pamela Sanders; one grandson; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Crowder and Richard Crowder; and one sister, May Ryan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Bill Platt officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
