The Cottey Comets hosted a cross country meet, Oct. 30 at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course. Cottey was joined at the meet by Metropolitan Community College (MCC-Longview) Above: MCC-Longview's Erin Brownlee sprints to the finish line, as Cottey's Tori Kehler finishes in second place, only one second back of Brownlee. Kehler's 5K time of 19:37 set a new school record. Comets runner Lexi Gradwohl flew to a fourth place finish. Both Kehler and Gradwohl were named to the All-Region cross country team. In addition, Comets runners Chase Burns posted a personal best time.

Cross Country runners from Cottey College and MCC-Longview are off to the races. MCC-Longview prevailed in the team competition. The Comets, coached by Austin Bunn, will next compete at cross country nationals, Nov. 14 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
